It is important to keep our office informed of your current mailing address. Our office mails important informational documents throughout the year, including but not limited to the Notice of Proposed Property Taxes, also known as the TRIM (Truth in Millage) Notice, and the annual homestead renewal. The Tax Collector also uses our address database to mail your tax bill. Address changes are effective for the current tax year but may not affect notifications regarding previous years’ tax payments. To ensure all taxes on your account(s) are paid, please contact the Lee County Tax Collector at www.leetc.com or (239) 533-6000.
We recognize that property owners may need to change their mailing address temporarily, especially our winter residents. We encourage you to pay close attention to the timing of important mailings to avoid delays in receiving time-sensitive documents. TRIM Notices are mailed in August and tax bills are mailed in November.
